bike building resumes

I am pleased to announce that I have started building the street tracker project. I have had a year layoff on the project because, I have been updating my shop. I was able to purchase a bridgeport mill, a new water cooled welder, a surface grinder, and lots of tooling. Now I will not have to send machining work out. Most of the machining jobs I will have for this build are small and the cost to have them done by another shop would be high. This project has got a lot of mods to the frame and they are just about complete. i hope to have the bike as a rolling chassis in by march.
There is a second bike in the works and it is going to be a hard tail bobber. I am also using a Yamaha xs650 engine for the platform. I have lots of parts together and i will be starting the frame as soon and i get the street tracker frame out of the jig and into a roller.
Come and check out the pictures of the new build at craigvoightconcepts.com
The gallery on the square has been slow as of lately. There will be many events there in the spring including the Hendricks County Artsgo. It is a traveling art show with many exhibits all over Hendricks County.

Metal art sculptures and motorcycle fabrication.

My business was born basically from a love of motorcycles. I am an avid motorcycle enthusiast and long time racer. It was a natural progression for me to move from racing to building bikes. This love for bikes and their beautiful shaped metal parts, sparked an interest in metal shaping. Through time, I have gained many skills in metal working. It is my goal to create you a beautiful piece to display. I can incorporate many other materials in our pieces including glass and leather. All our products are hand made from the finest materials.

I have started this blog to share my projects with more people. I have have created a unique brand of art.

Metal of all kinds have a magical quality. Making a part for a really cool bike or shaping metal to decorate a home is my passion. I don't like to do repetitious things. All my pieces are original. I draw inspiration from many things, nature, architecture, even other artists. I incorporate patinas with shapes and textures, and grinding and polishing techniques. You can't buy my stuff at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I have just acquired lots of new equipment that will allow me to build an incredible chopped motorcycle. I will have some pictures of my shop soon. To see some pictures check out my website craigvoightconcepts.com

Let me know what you think.

You can view many of my works at my gallery located in Danville Indiana. The Gallery on the Square is a new gallery that features local artist.
